معرفی
Dr. Yujun Cai is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (Vascular) at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on cyclic nucleotide signaling mechanisms in arterial and venous disorders, particularly phosphodiesterase (PDE) biology in cardiovascular diseases. He employs interdisciplinary approaches including genomics, proteomics, and rodent surgical models. His work is supported by NIH R01 and AHA grants. Dr. Cai collaborates with vascular biologists, surgeons, and bioengineers to advance translational research. He mentors postdoctoral fellows, clinical trainees, and undergraduates.
- Education: PhD from Lanzhou University (2003), Postdoctoral training at University of Rochester (2012)
- Key Roles: Principal Investigator at Yale, Associate Editor of Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences (2025-present), Editorial Board Member of Journal of Vascular Research (2022-present)
Research Interests: Phosphodiesterase signaling, vascular calcification, lysosome function, extracellular matrix remodeling, and inflammatory pathways in vascular pathologies.
Publications reflect a focus on PDE-mediated vascular remodeling, arterial calcification mechanisms, and translational therapies. Awards include the AHA Transformational Project Award (2019) and NIH R01 funding. His lab is based at Brady Memorial Laboratory, Yale.
