Yuh-Pey Buu

Yuh-Pey Buu is a Professor in the Department of Health Promotion & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). As a biostatistician and developmental psychologist, she specializes in methodology and measurement for examining short-term and long-term effects of e-cigarette and polysubstance use, with expertise in longitudinal and electronic momentary assessment (EMA) data analysis.

She has served as Principal Investigator for multiple NIDA R01 grants and co-chaired the PhenX Medical Cannabis Use, Polysubstance Use, and Recovery Working Group.

At UTHealth Houston, she is affiliated with the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research and actively contributes to editorial and committee roles, including Associate Editor of Nicotine & Tobacco Research and member of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) Program Committee.
