Yuet-Kin Leung

Yuet-Kin Leung, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine. His research focuses on endocrine disruption, epigenetic regulation, hormone signaling in cancers, and genome-wide analysis. He holds a Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dr. Leung’s research explores how environmental chemicals like Bisphenol A and metals (e.g., lead, arsenic) disrupt endocrine systems and induce epigenetic changes linked to disease susceptibility. His work includes studying the role of G-protein-coupled estrogen receptors in prostate cancer progression and employing advanced genomic techniques like single-cell RNA sequencing. He also investigates biomarkers for exposure assessment and cancer risk, with a focus on intergenerational effects.
