معرفی
Yueheng Lan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, Tsinghua University. He earned his PhD in Physics (2004) from Georgia Institute of Technology (GPA: 4.0/4.0) and holds an MS in Physics (2000) from Northwestern University and a BS in Physics (1997) from Peking University.
- Research Focus: Systems biology, nonlinear dynamics, and computational physics.
- Key Contributions: Variational methods for periodic orbits, stochastic modeling of cellular processes, and renormalization techniques.
His work bridges graph theory and dynamical systems to analyze biological networks, while also exploring spatiotemporal chaos in fluid systems. Recent publications (2008) include studies on stochastic resonance in enzymatic cascades and chaotic spin dynamics in nanomagnets.
Scientific Awards:
- NSF Grant (2007) participation
- Miller's Scholarship (2006)
- Gilbert Amelio Fellowship (2004)
- International Mathematical Contest in Modeling (1996)
Lan has taught courses at Georgia Tech and Northwestern, covering nonlinear dynamics, quantum mechanics, and classical chaos. His computational tools have advanced modeling of stochastic systems and large-scale networks.
