Yue Wang

Yue Wang is an Associate Professor of International Business in the Department of Management at Macquarie University, Australia. He holds a PhD in Management (International Business) from the University of Melbourne. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales School of Management and held visiting positions at Kyoto University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and others.

His research focuses on international business (IB), entrepreneurship, and human resource management (HRM), exploring how institutions and managerial traits influence firm behavior. Key areas include SME internationalization, knowledge transfer, and institutional interactions in CJK contexts. Dr. Wang has authored over 50 publications in top journals like Journal of World Business, International Business Review, and Human Resource Management Journal. He guest-edited a special issue on Dragon Multinationals and reviews for leading journals.

He has received prestigious awards, including the AOM Best Paper Award (2020, 2023) and the China Goes Global Conference Best Paper Award (2010). His work bridges theoretical and practical insights, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to global institutional and organizational dynamics.

Teaching excellence is evident through his recognition as one of UNSW’s top 10 lecturers (2011) and contributions to Cambridge Press textbooks. Collaborations include editorial roles at the Asia Pacific Journal of Management and external reviewing for Hong Kong’s Research Grants Council.
