Yue Li

Yue Li is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the College of Humanities, Education & Social Sciences, Roosevelt University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois, integrating psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and emotionally focused therapy in her practice.

• Education: Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (Indiana University Bloomington), with doctoral minor in Organizational Behavior and Business Management
• Clinical Training: Pre-doctoral internship at University of Illinois at Chicago Counseling Center, postdoctoral training at The Family Institute at Northwestern University

Her research examines systemic oppression (sexism, racism, migration), colonial history, and sociopolitical environments through feminist, constructivist, and liberatory lenses. She analyzes impacts on marginalized peoples' lived experiences and psychotherapy outcomes.

Clinically, she specializes in multicultural education, providing individual, couple's, family therapy, and organizational consulting in English and Mandarin. Her work bridges academic research and applied practice in liberation psychology frameworks.
