Yue Gao is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Clark University's School of Business. She earned a Ph.D. in Economics (2019), M.A. in Economics (2016), M.S. in Finance (2012), and B.A. in Economics (2010) from Clark University and North China Electric Power University, respectively.
Her research focuses on the impacts of public policies and information technology on business and individual behavior, using applied econometrics and machine learning. Key areas include environmental economics, energy sustainability, and healthcare management. She has presented work at conferences like the International Conferences on Digital Government Research and INFORMS Annual Meetings.
Her publications analyze smart meter adoption dynamics, federal funding effects, and energy efficiency savings in the U.S., emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches combining policy analysis and technological innovation. She teaches courses like Financial Econometrics and Machine Learning at Clark since 2018 and worked at the U.S. Census – Boston Research Data Center.
