Yuchen Wang

Yuchen Wang is a Chancellor’s Fellow and Lecturer at the Strathclyde Institute of Education (University of Strathclyde). Their research focuses on inclusive education, children's participation, sustainable development, and technology. They lead projects funded by ESRC, NERC, and British Council, and co-edited a Springer volume on AI and education awarded the 2020 Springer Nature New China Development Award.

Research Interests: Explores intersection of technology and inclusive practices, children’s voices in policy, and global educational equity. Current work includes AI-driven inclusive tools and Froebelian approaches to parental engagement.

• Going Global Partnership: Co-developing transnational inclusive education approaches (2023-2026)
• Human-centred AI Technologies for Inclusion in Education and Society (2023-2027)

Awards: 2020 Springer Nature China New Development Awards for editorial work on AI in education.

Advising & Grants: Supervises doctoral research on topics like autistic children’s views in England, anti-racist pedagogy in Scotland, and human-centred AI in education. Active in professional development programs for educators.

Committees: Member of Scottish Universities Inclusion Group, Strathclyde Institute of Education’s Global Engagement working group.
