Dr. Yuanfang Lin is an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph, affiliated with the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics and the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies. He specializes in competitive strategies, product innovation, pricing, and informational services in uncertain consumer environments. His research employs microeconomics, game theory, and econometrics, with publications in top journals like Management Science and Marketing Science. Lin holds a PhD in Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis, alongside advanced degrees in business and economics.
His research interests include analytical modeling of marketing problems, pricing strategies, and retail dynamics. Notable awards include the 2023 University of Guelph Research Excellence Award and the 2023 UGFA Distinguished Professor Teaching Award. He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Research in Marketing and as an Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences.
Lin’s work is supported by grants from SSHRC, Guelph Institute for Environmental Research, and the Institute for Sustainable Commerce. His courses include Marketing Strategy and Marketing Research Seminar at the graduate level. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
