Prof. Yu Xiong is the Chair Professor of Business Analytics and Associate Vice-President (External Engagement) at the University of Surrey, where he founded the Surrey Academy for Blockchain and Metaverse Applications and the Centre for Innovation and Commercialization. He has held leadership roles across multiple UK universities, including Associate Dean International at Surrey, Director of Enterprise Engagement at Northumbria University, and Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast. His research spans Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Blockchain Applications, and AI-driven Business Models, with a focus on carbon trading, circular economy, and digital transformation. He has secured over £4 million in funding from EPSRC, Research England, and industry partners.
His 15 most recent publications (2022-2024) demonstrate expertise in blockchain-enabled carbon markets, machine learning for logistics optimization, and game-theoretic models for sustainability.
