Dr. Yangchun (Chris) Xiong is a Lecturer in Operations Management at the School for Business and Society, University of York. He joined the university in 2023 after completing his PhD in Management Studies at the University of Liverpool, UK. His research employs econometric methods to investigate two core areas: (1) the impact of disruptive technologies (AI, blockchain, big data analytics, VR) on firm operations, and (2) sustainability challenges in supply chains.

Dr. Xiong's work examines how technology adoption influences operational efficiency and resilience, with empirical studies on blockchain's role during COVID-19, AI's financial implications, and VR's manufacturing applications.
