Yu (John) Wu is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Work and Organizational Studies at the University of Sydney Business School. He holds an MPhil and PhD from UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on service workers' well-being, workplace mistreatment, emotional labor, and organizational interventions to improve work environments. Key areas include power imbalances in service industries, customer mistreatment impacts, and strategies to enhance employee resilience.
Research interests span workplace mistreatment management, emotion regulation, organizational behavior, and research methodologies. Current projects investigate customer mistreatment dynamics, emotional labor motivations, and AI's impact on employees/customers. He teaches Organizational Behavior, Management & Leadership, and Human Resource Management across undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA programs.
