Yordan Kalchev

Yordan Kalchev is a researcher at the Medical University of Plovdiv, affiliated with the Integrative and Creative Research Division and the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology. He actively participates in multidisciplinary projects focused on health and environmental interactions.

His work centers on nature-based therapies and community resilience, with a particular emphasis on understanding the physical and mental health impacts of natural environments. He contributes to projects like RESONATE, which explores therapeutic applications of nature in healthcare contexts.

Current collaborations include involvement in the NUCBTR-BBMRI-ERIC initiative and the university's Strategic Research and Innovation Program (SRIPD-MUP), reflecting his engagement in translational and innovative diagnostic research.
