Dr. Seock's research program centers on three key themes: emotional, cognitive, and behavioral mechanisms in psychology; technological innovations and human-technology interaction; and sustainability, ethical consumerism, and corporate social responsibility. Her work investigates psychological dynamics of human behavior across various integrated environments including online, offline, mobile, social media, and emerging platforms like the metaverse. She studies how technology such as AI, eye-tracking, VR, and the Metaverse can enhance research and education in fashion and consumer sciences.
Analysis of Dr. Seock's recent publications reveals a strong focus on sustainable fashion consumption, particularly examining generational differences between Gen Z and Millennials. Her research frequently explores the intersection of technology and consumer behavior, with significant attention to social media's influence on fashion consumption patterns. There's a consistent thread examining psychological mechanisms behind consumer decisions, with increasing emphasis on environmental sustainability consciousness as a driver for slow fashion adoption.
