Yonca Ertimur is the Tandean Rustandy Esteemed Endowed Professor at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, where she also previously served as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty, Acting Dean, and Chair of the Accounting Division. She holds a PhD in Accounting from New York University (2003), an MBA from the University of Rochester (1998), and a BS in Business Administration from Bosphorus University (1992). Before joining Leeds, she was an Assistant Professor at Duke University (2006–2012) and Stanford University (2003–2006).
Her research focuses on corporate governance (specifically shareholder voting mechanisms and agency problems) and information economics (firm disclosure practices and intermediary roles in investor decision-making). She teaches financial accounting and graduate seminars in MBA/PhD programs. Her work appears in top journals including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and Review of Financial Studies.
