Anne Beyer is The Staehelin Family Professor of Accounting and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She joined Stanford in 2006 after earning her PhD from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on corporate disclosure, information economics, and governance, with emphasis on earnings forecasts and investor behavior. She teaches courses like Financial Management for Entrepreneurs and has received multiple teaching awards including the MBA Distinguished Teaching Award (2013) and Walter J. Gores Award (2014).
Research Interests: Beyer investigates how financial communication shapes market outcomes. Her work spans disclosure biases, earnings quality, risk-factor analysis, and contractual incentives in financial reporting. She integrates theoretical models with empirical evidence to explore capital market efficiency and managerial decision-making.
