Ron Kasznik is the Paul L. and Phyllis Wattis Professor of Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB), specializing in financial accounting and its interactions with capital markets. His research examines corporate voluntary disclosures, executive compensation, and strategic use of financial information. He has held academic appointments at Stanford since 1995, following a PhD from UC Berkeley.

Recent work explores AI-driven sentiment analysis in earnings guidance and cultural influences on M&A decisions.
Awards include the Business School Trust Faculty Fellow (2022–23), GSB Trust Faculty Fellow (2015–16), and Sloan Teaching Excellence Award (2005). Administrative roles include Director of the Francisco Partners Leadership Program and Mergers and Acquisitions initiatives. He co-leads the Directors’ Consortium and contributes to Stanford GSB’s strategic academic and professional development programs.
