Yolande A. Cadore

Yolande A. Cadore is a Substitute Assistant Professor at CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU), specializing in criminal justice reform and community organizing. She holds a B.S. in Urban Policy and Advocacy (SUNY Empire State, 2015), an MPA in International Political Economy (Columbia SIPA, 2017), and an EdD in Education, Social Justice, and Leadership (St. John Fisher, 2021).

Her research focuses on Black church engagement with mass incarceration, systemic change through social movements, and participatory community research. She has advised initiatives linking local drug policy groups to national movements and supported formerly incarcerated women in policy innovation.

Teaches courses on mass incarceration, nonprofit leadership, and social action research. Active in organizations like the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition and the Transatlantic Roundtable on Religion and Race.
