Michael Fabricant

Michael Fabricant is a Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, CUNY. His scholarship examines urban education reform, housing policy, and community organizing through critical social policy frameworks.

Research addresses political economy of nonprofit organizations, community-labor coalitions, and educational justice movements. Current work analyzes privatization trends in public education and their impact on marginalized communities.

Authored influential books examining austerity policies in higher education, charter school expansion, and community resistance to dispossession. Scholarship combines policy analysis with community-centered approaches to social change.
