Dr Yog Upadhyay is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at the School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). He brings extensive academic and practical experience in legal disciplines, particularly in arbitration and dispute resolution across international and construction contexts.
His research and professional expertise include:
- Construction and infrastructure law
- International commercial arbitration
- Investor-State dispute settlement
- Intellectual property rights
- Privacy and data protection law
Yog has worked in multiple law schools prior to joining LJMU and has actively practiced as an arbitrator in high-stakes legal disputes. His interdisciplinary legal background enables him to contribute meaningfully to both academic governance and legal education.
He currently serves as an Academic Board Nominee and Member of the Board of Governors at LJMU (term: 25/05/2023 – 24/05/2026), where he contributes insights from both national and international academic and legal frameworks.
