Maxence Rivoire is a Lecturer in French Law and Deputy Director of the LLB in English Law and Master 1 in French Law at King's College London's Dickson Poon School of Law. He is affiliated with the Centre for International Governance and Dispute Resolution (CIGAD) and the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. With a PhD from the University of Cambridge, he specializes in private international law, international arbitration, and intellectual property, emphasizing comparative legal analysis. His research has been recognized with the 2022 Nappert Prize in International Arbitration for work on intellectual property arbitrability.
Teaching focuses on French private law and comparative legal systems, particularly for LLB and Master’s programs. Research contributions include monographs on territoriality in intellectual property arbitration and peer-reviewed articles on jurisdictional issues in patent disputes, arbitration autonomy, and copyright ownership. He has held visiting researcher roles at the Max Planck Institute and McGill University, blending academic rigor with prior experience in international arbitration at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Publications span encyclopedic entries, law journals, and guides on arbitration enforcement, reflecting expertise in transnational legal frameworks.
