Dr. Ying-Ying Hsieh is an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Imperial College Business School. She serves as an Associate Centre Director of the Center for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering and holds a Research Fellow position at the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab, Ivey Business School. Prior to Imperial, she earned her Ph.D. in General Management from Ivey Business School, Canada.
Her research focuses on blockchain-based decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), exploring their governance mechanisms and how technological innovation drives new organizational forms. Key research areas include cryptocurrency, FinTech, organization design, and entrepreneurial strategy. She also investigates the adoption and evolution of DAOs within these contexts.
Ying-Ying teaches Innovation Management and develops specialized FinTech courses such as 'Management, Strategy and Innovation in FinTech.' She is affiliated with the Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering at Imperial College London.
