Jean-Philippe Vergne

Jean-Philippe Vergne is Professor and Head of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at UCL School of Management. He researches capitalism's evolution through technology and organization, focusing on Web3, decentralized systems, and industry emergence.

He founded the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab and launched the Toronto Fintech Conference. Vergne's award-winning work has been featured in The Economist, Financial Times, and Bloomberg. He advises startups and regulators on Web3 innovation and currently supervises doctoral student Jen Houng Lie.
