Ying Han Fan is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University's School of Accounting, Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Business and Law. She holds dual roles as Chair of the Global Chinese Accounting Association (GCAA) and Executive Member of the Faculty's Strategic Review Board. With a career spanning over 17 years in academia, she transitioned from a sessional academic (2006–2008) to full-time Lecturer (2009–2018) before becoming Senior Lecturer in 2019.
Her teaching portfolio includes units like ACCT6004 CPA Financial Accounting and ACCT5021 Accounting for Managers. She has received 16+ teaching awards, including the 2012 Teacher of the Year. Research-wise, she focuses on accounting ethics, behavioral auditing, and cross-cultural studies, securing grants totaling AUD $500K+ from Australian/Chinese governments.
As GCAA founder and Chair, she co-organized 5 international accounting summits with top journals like British Accounting Review and secured partnerships with ACCA/IMA. Her leadership earned her a 2022 Engagement Australia award for enhancing Australia-China academic ties.
