معرفی
Dr Ying Guo is a Research Fellow in Wastewater Surveillance at the Cranfield Water Science Institute, Cranfield University. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Wollongong (2023), a Master of Science from the Institute of Soil Science, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2019), and a Bachelor of Engineering from North University of China (2016). Her research focuses on real-time public health monitoring through wastewater-based epidemiology, emphasizing pathogens, disease biomarkers, and antimicrobial resistance. Key areas include CRISPR sensor development, antibiotic stability in water, and coronavirus decay dynamics.
- Education: PhD (2023, University of Wollongong), MSc (2019), BEng (2016)
Her expertise spans environmental microbiology, wastewater treatment, and soil pollution. Current projects address the fate of coronaviruses in wastewater systems and the role of sewers in disease transmission. She collaborates on initiatives such as Anglo-Canadian AMR research and real-time public health sensing systems.
Publications highlight innovative methodologies in pathogen detection and environmental impact assessments. She advocates for interdisciplinary approaches to tackle global health challenges through wastewater surveillance.
