Bing Guo

Dr. Bing Guo is a Professor of Environmental Engineering and Microbiology at the University of Surrey, affiliated with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Institute for Sustainability. She holds roles such as Programme Lead for Water Innovation and Sustainability and CEE UG Admission. Her expertise spans environmental biotechnology, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), anaerobic digestion, and microbial ecology. Dr. Guo earned a PhD and MEng from McGill University and a BEng from Beijing Normal University. She leads multiple research projects funded by EPSRC, BBSRC, and NERC, focusing on wastewater treatment, AMR mitigation, and sustainable biotechnology.
