Yinchi Zhou serves as Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Professor of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. She holds the distinction of Chancellor Faculty Fellow and maintains an active affiliate role with the Vanderbilt Institute of Surgery and Engineering (VISE).

Zhou leads the Medical-image Analysis and Statistical Interpretation Lab (MASI), which develops computational methods for medical image analysis. As a Vanderbilt Biomedical Engineering alumna, she bridges engineering principles with clinical applications through VISE partnerships. Her work supports the Medical Innovators Development Program (MIDP) and connects Vanderbilt School of Engineering with School of Medicine initiatives.
