Yi-Ying Lin

Dr. Yi-Ying Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counselor Education at Kean University's College of Health Professions and Human Services. She joined the university in 2022 and focuses on research exploring East Asian ideologies (Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism) and their impact on psychological well-being, mental health help-seeking attitudes, and mindfulness practices across cultures. Her work bridges these philosophies with psychological flexibility processes to understand self-compassion and adaptation mechanisms.
