Yi-Shan Tsai is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University, affiliated with the Centre for Learning Analytics at Monash (CoLAM). She holds a PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge and has extensive experience in postdoctoral research at the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on learning analytics, digital education, feedback mechanisms, and multimodal literacy. She has led multinational projects like SHEILA, influencing learning analytics policies in over 200 institutions globally.
- Education: PhD and MPhil in Education (University of Cambridge), BA in Foreign Languages and Literatures (National Chung Hsing University).
- Research Interests: Social-technical issues in digital education, feedback analytics, data-driven pedagogy, and storytelling in learning analytics.

- Grants: Over AUD$11M in funded research as PI/Co-PI, including projects on generative AI in education and pandemic teaching practices.
