Yi Liu

Dr. Yi Liu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at St. John Fisher University's School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor at the College for Financial Planning. Her work bridges psychology and finance, focusing on how psychosocial factors influence financial decisions.

Her research examines personality traits, financial satisfaction, retirement planning, and investment strategies. Key areas include behavioral finance, financial literacy, and the psychological drivers of economic well-being. She actively contributes as a reviewer for journals like the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning and Financial Services Review.
