Niklas Hüther is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Nebraska College of Business, University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He joined from San Diego State University and has previously taught at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, with research roles at Duke University and the University of Cologne.
- Education: Ph.D. in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Cologne, Germany.
Research Interests focus on private equity impacts on crime and credit markets, judicial assignment in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, corporate finance, contract theory, and governance. His work on private equity compensation structures and fund performance reporting has been published in Management Science and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.

Hüther has presented at major conferences including the Midwestern Finance Annual Meeting, Financial Economics Research Annual Conference, Midwest Economics Association, and Boca Corporate Finance & Governance Conference. He has served as a referee for Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Review of Finance.
