معرفی
Yeşim YEŞİLOĞLU is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Trakya University's Faculty of Pharmacy, with prior roles including Head of Biochemistry (2015–2021) and Director of Arda Vocational School (2014–2024). She earned her PhD from Trakya University in 1999, focusing on enzymatic peptide synthesis in organic media.
Her research explores antioxidant properties of plant extracts (e.g., turmeric, basil, rowanberry), enzyme immobilization techniques (lipases, trypsin), and biocatalysis in organic solvents. She employs spectroscopic methods (LC-MS/MS, UV-Vis) and biochemical assays to analyze bioactive compounds and enzyme kinetics.
YEŞİLOĞLU's publications emphasize phytochemistry, enzyme technology, and environmental biochemistry. Recent works (2013–2022) predominantly investigate antioxidant mechanisms in Turkish medicinal plants and immobilized enzyme systems for industrial applications.
- Awards: Trakya University Performance Award (2013).
She has supervised 1 doctoral and 12 master's students, focusing on antioxidant activity in plants like labada (Rumex patientia) and üvez (Sorbus domestica). Her 14 research projects include TÜBAP-funded studies on bioactive compounds and enzyme purification.
YEŞİLOĞLU leads a biochemistry research group specializing in natural product analysis and enzyme applications, with collaborations evident in international conferences and multi-author publications.
