Yeunjae Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Media Communication at Colorado State University. She specializes in employee communication, internal crisis management, and organizational diversity and justice. Her research applies public relations theories to explore employee behaviors in response to organizational crises and diversity-related issues, emphasizing strategic internal communication's impact on workplace outcomes. Lee holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University.
Her research interests include public relations strategies, employee advocacy, and the role of leadership communication in fostering creativity and safety during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been recognized as an Arthur W. Page Legacy Scholar (2020–2023) and has received numerous top paper awards from national/international conferences.
Lee’s work bridges organizational communication and societal challenges, focusing on topics such as employee activism, mental health disclosure, and racial equity in workplaces. Her recent studies explore the interplay between transparent internal communication, employee well-being, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
