Yeping Li is a Professor of Mathematics and STEM Education at Texas A&M University (TAMU), previously serving as Head of the Teaching, Learning & Culture (TLAC) Department (2011-2015). His research focuses on cross-cultural insights into curriculum, teaching, and teacher education influencing mathematics achievement. He pioneered integrating mathematics into STEM education, emphasizing interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches. Li founded and leads the International Journal of STEM Education and Journal for STEM Education Research, both top-ranked in their fields. His work includes over 18 books and numerous articles, with high citation impact. Recognitions include being a World Top 2% Scientist (2023-2024) and a Top Scholar by ScholarGPS (2024).

Publications: Over 150 articles and 18 books, including Transforming Mathematics Instruction and Expertise in Mathematics Instruction. His 2020 work on computational thinking in STEM remains highly cited.
Grants & Leadership: PI/Co-PI on NSF-funded projects, including initiatives to strengthen teacher training for diverse classrooms. Served as Co-Chair of TAMU’s CoDI subcommittee and on AERA’s Scholars of Color committee.
