Yee Kwan Tang

Dr. Yee Kwan Tang is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. She holds a PhD in Management and an MEd in Higher Education from the University of Glasgow, alongside an MBA with distinction from the University of Manchester and undergraduate degrees from Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of South Australia.

Her research focuses on SME internationalization, entrepreneurship in developing countries, and business network dynamics. With over 15 years of postgraduate professional experience, she has worked with UNCTAD on enterprise development and as assistant professor at University of Nottingham's Chinese campus. Current research examines institutional barriers to SME growth in emerging economies and network-based strategies for international expansion.

Recent publications explore topics ranging from institutional barriers in emerging markets (2025) to network effects in African informal sectors (2023). Her work spans business strategy, technology adoption in developing economies, and stakeholder management frameworks. Key methodologies include empirical studies in Zambia, Malaysia, and China.
