Professor Yasser Hassan holds a Ph.D. from Carleton University and is affiliated with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and has taught courses such as Highway Engineering, Transportation Systems, and Urban Planning.
