Dr. Yasser Mahgoub is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler. He joined UT Tyler in Spring 2020. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada, 2009), an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from Al-Azhar University (Cairo, Egypt, 1999 and 1992).
- Previous Roles:
- 8 years as faculty at Royal Commission Yanbu Colleges and Institutes (Yanbu, KSA) and Higher Colleges of Technology (Ras Al Khaimah, UAE)
- 3 years as Head of Curriculum Development Department at Royal Commission Yanbu Colleges
His research focuses on Digital Signal Processing, Speech Separation/Enhancement, and Adaptive Signal Processing. He has been an IEEE member since 2002.
