Yasser A Bhatti is an Associate Scholar at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He holds a DPhil in Management and an MSc in Management Research from Saïd Business School. His research focuses on frugal, social, and reverse innovations integrated with strategic concepts like cost leadership and scenario planning to drive inclusive growth. He has collaborated with institutions including the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, and NESTA.
His notable work includes co-authoring Frugal Innovation – Models, Means, Methods (Cambridge University Press), which explores how firms innovate to improve global living standards. He has advised organizations like Fraunhofer and served on the European Commission’s Frugal Innovation project advisory board.
Yasser teaches strategy and innovation across undergraduate, MBA, and executive programmes, aligning with the UN’s Principles for Responsible Management Education. His work emphasizes practical applications of innovation theory in real-world contexts.
