Yasin Wahid Rabby is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Engineering Department of Wake Forest University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Statistical Sciences department. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography (geo-statistics and geomorphology) and an MS in Statistics and Business Analytics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). His research focuses on landslide susceptibility mapping in Bangladesh and coastal area mapping using NASA-funded projects, combining satellite data with machine/deep learning algorithms. He teaches statistics and probability while advancing interdisciplinary geospatial research.
- Education: Ph.D. Geography (UTK, 2021), MS Statistics & Business Analytics (UTK, 20XX)
Research interests include integrating geospatial technologies, statistical modeling, and computational methods to address environmental challenges. Current work emphasizes cloud-based platforms for coastal zone monitoring and predictive modeling. His UTK training in GIS and remote sensing underpins his research trajectory.
Active in grants: NASA-funded coastal mapping project (current). Engages in academic teaching and collaborative research at Wake Forest.
