Dr. Yaorong Zheng is Assistant Professor in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kent State University, developing innovative metal-based chemical systems for cancer therapy. His research combines nanotechnology with bioinorganic chemistry to overcome limitations in current cancer treatments.
Current projects focus on platinum-based prodrug delivery systems, targeted iron complexes for inducing ferroptosis in cancer cells, and nanoparticle formulations for combination therapies. His work addresses drug resistance mechanisms and improves therapeutic efficacy through rational drug design.
