Dr. Yang Yu is a PartTime Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. His academic focus centers on civil and structural engineering with specialized expertise in smart materials, structural health monitoring, and concrete technology. He serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Materials and holds committee membership in the Oceania Division of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII).
Dr. Yu's research encompasses concrete mix design, structural condition assessment, and the development of smart material systems. His work integrates experimental mechanics with computational approaches including machine learning and Bayesian methods for structural evaluation.
