Yang Yang serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University's College of Architecture and the Built Environment, focusing on environmentally and socially responsible built environments through computational innovation.
Her academic credentials include:

Her research integrates simulation modeling, data analytics, and computational design at architectural and urban scales to address human-environment interactions, developing data-driven tools for sustainable and equitable design practices. This work emphasizes behavioral simulation to empower urban planning and building design.
Research funding has been secured from the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability, Cornell Center for Technology Licensing, Center for Transportation Environment and Community Health (CTECH), and Jefferson Institute for Smart & Healthy Cities.
Prior to her current role, she contributed as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Assistant at Cornell University's Environmental Systems Lab within the College of Art Architecture and Planning.
