YanYan Yin

Dr. YanYan Yin is a Lecturer in the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Curtin University, within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on control theory, stochastic systems, and optimization, with particular emphasis on Markov jump systems, robust control, and industrial process optimization. She has contributed extensively to methodologies for handling uncertainties in dynamic systems, including fault detection, event-triggered control, and adaptive strategies for renewable energy systems.

Her work spans theoretical advancements in control systems, such as finite-time control of stochastic Poisson jump systems, as well as practical applications like alumina production optimization using mixed-integer programming. Yin's publications also address challenges in nonlinear systems, including disturbance rejection and actuator saturation, leveraging tools like fuzzy logic and scenario optimization.
