Professor Sender Dovchin is a Senior Principal Research Fellow and Australian Research Council Fellow at Curtin University's School of Education (Faculty of Humanities). Her research focuses on linguistic racism, multilingualism, and sociolinguistics, particularly addressing the experiences of marginalized communities. She leads the ARC DECRA project combating linguistic racism and has authored six books and numerous articles in top-tier journals. Dovchin holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney and previously served as Associate Professor at the University of Aizu, Japan. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Review of Applied Linguistics and has received accolades including 'Top Researcher in Language & Linguistics' (2021) and multiple Curtin Research Awards.
