Yael Lifshitz is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at King's College London's Dickson Poon School of Law, specializing in energy law, environmental law, property law, and private law theory. She holds affiliations with King's College London's Centre for Climate Law and Governance, Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy and Law, and the Guarini Center on Environmental, Energy and Land Use Law at NYU Law School. Her research focuses on energy governance frameworks, particularly shifts in electricity generation governance. Previously, she was an Associate in Law and Lecturer at Columbia University and an advisor to NYU's Environmental and Energy Law LL.M program. She earned her J.D. and LL.M from NYU School of Law as a Vanderbilt Scholar.
Her work appears in prestigious journals such as the NYU Law Review, Modern Law Review, and Stanford Environmental Law Journal, reflecting her interdisciplinary engagement with energy systems and legal structures.
