Ya-Shu Liang is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Clinical Psychology PsyD Program at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University, Fresno. A licensed psychologist, she specializes in identity, family, trauma, and body image concerns among young adults, with a focus on mental health disparities and multicultural care.

Her research emphasizes diversity, Asian American psychology, and systemic barriers to mental health equity. Under her leadership, the Fresno Clinical PsyD program received the APA’s 2021 Suinn Minority Achievement Program Award.
Recent publications highlight multicultural counseling practices, language discrimination’s impact on mental health outcomes, and innovative outreach strategies. These works span subfields like community mental health, clinical practice, and mental health assessment.
