معرفی
Xuan Zhang is an Assistant Professor at UC Merced specializing in atmospheric chemistry and air quality. Her research focuses on multiphase chemical processes, organic aerosol toxicity, and climate interactions. Recent work includes field studies in East China and innovations in pollution measurement techniques. She leads multiple DOE and NSF-funded projects focused on climate resilience and methane reduction.
Research Interests: Atmospheric processing of pollutants, aerosol health impacts, and development of real-time measurement systems for air quality monitoring.
Recent Publications: Focus on nighttime chemistry mechanisms, agricultural emission reduction, and atmospheric oxidation pathways. Studies demonstrate novel approaches to quantifying pollution sources and climate interactions.
Awards:
- Hellman Fellowship (2023)
- UCAR Next Generation Fellowship (2023)
Lab & Team: Directs an interdisciplinary research group at SE2 340 developing instrumentation for atmospheric composition analysis and collaborating with national labs on climate initiatives.
