Xiumei Guo

Dr. Xiumei Guo is an Adjunct Research Fellow at Curtin University's School of Management and Marketing under the Faculty of Business and Law. Her research focuses on sustainability science, environmental policy, and China's socio-economic development strategies. She has collaborated extensively with Prof. Dr. D. Marinova on studies addressing climate change, carbon emissions, and urban resilience. Key areas include analyzing impacts of China's Belt and Road Initiative on tourism, evaluating air quality through integer data envelopment analysis, and exploring resilience in social-ecological systems like Dongting Lake.

Her work spans over two decades, with notable contributions to understanding embedded carbon footprints in urban households, the role of NGOs in environmental awareness, and the interplay between creative industries and regional innovation. Dr. Guo has contributed to edited volumes such as 'Sustainability and Development in Asia and the Pacific' and 'Technology, Society and Sustainability.'
