Dr. Xingang Li is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University's School of Medical and Health Sciences and the Centre for Precision Health. He holds a PhD from Edith Cowan University (2020), a Master of Medicine (2008), and a Bachelor of Medicine (2001), both from China. His research focuses on immunology, biomarker development, and precision medicine, with an emphasis on IgG glycosylation, cardiovascular health, and chronic disease mechanisms.
Key research areas include the role of IgG N-glycosylation in inflammation and cardiometabolic disorders, Mendelian randomization studies on stroke and diabetes, and machine learning-driven predictive health tools. He has secured grants such as the WA Near-Miss Awards (2024–2027, $100,000) for Crohn’s disease glycosylation research and an ECU Early-Mid Career Grant (2023–2024) for stroke prediction tools.
Dr. Li collaborates on projects involving multi-omics integration, suboptimal health status assessment, and biomarker discovery for diseases like type 2 diabetes and gastric cancer. He currently co-supervises seven PhD candidates exploring topics such as immunotherapy development, stroke prognosis, and hypertension mechanisms linked to uterine fibroids.
His work bridges basic science and clinical translation, addressing health disparities and preventive strategies in populations across Asia and Australia. The Centre for Precision Health serves as a key platform for his interdisciplinary research.
