Weitao Lin

Dr. Weitao Lin is an Adjunct Lecturer at Edith Cowan University (ECU), affiliated with the Melanoma and blood-based biomarkers research group and the Centre for Precision Health. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Hong Kong (2017) and previously served as a Research Associate at the University of Hong Kong (2017–2018) and a Laboratory Technician at the Joint Shantou International Eye Centre (2009–2012).

His research focuses on characterizing genetic profiles of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in melanoma using single-cell RNA sequencing. Key interests include CTC heterogeneity, biomarker development for immuno-oncology, and understanding tumor progression mechanisms linked to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. His work spans multiple cancers, including lung, ovarian, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Dr. Lin has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed publications, including studies in Nature Communications, Oncogene, and Cancers. His research outputs emphasize translational applications, such as liquid biopsy development and predictive biomarker identification for immunotherapy response.
